David lives in Justin, TX with his wife Janis (sweetheart since high school) and youngest children 18 year old twin sons, Austin and Hunter. David and Janis also have 2 married children - Kelly and Justin, and single son 21 year old Hudson (US Marine Lance Corporal), and 7 grandchildren - oldest is 7 years old.

Searching, but not finding fulfillment in life through sports, cowboying, and bull riding, he decided to pursue a new challenge after graduation from Pharmacy School. With no previous musical training, he formed a country dance band called Ramblin Fever and played Texas and Oklahoma, often employing the services of a young guitar sensation named Mike McAdoo. Among David's accomplishments, was the privilege to sing on stage with Reba McEntire and to perform on a program that included the Oak Ridge Boys. Shortly after these events, David found the fulfillment in life he had been searching for by accepting Jesus Christ into his heart and committing his life to the Lord. He then formed the Living Water Gospel Band, which traveled for about 5 years.

David’s musical career was then put on hold for almost 20 years while being content to sing at church and pursue business opportunities as a Pharmacist and Pharmacy owner.  Mike McAdoo pursued a career as a professional musician touring with many major artists and is currently a lead guitarist and studio musician in Branson, Mo. Mike has been honored to be inducted into the Branson Music Hall of Fame along with many other accolades and is an accompolished singer/songwriter. After a long career separation, the two crossed paths again and in October 2006 decided to record a CD together focusing on some of the gospel songs David has begun to write. In a very short time, many other projects have since followed.
